Victims and witnesses sessions in the Education resource pack

Through these sessions adults can help children and young people aged 7-14 to develop awareness of:
  • what Victim Support and the Witness Service do and how to contact them
  • what it is like to be a victim or witness of crime
  • the potential effect of being a victim or witness of crime
  • some agencies and individuals who can upport victims and witnesses of crime
  • some ways that they could support a victim or witness who they know.

The sessions link with the aims and objectives of Every Child Matters, Healthy Schools and the National Curriculum.

The sessions are flexible and you can use parts or all of them to fit in with your own work with children and young people. They can also be used in conjunction with other victims and witnesses resources.
